The Super Bowl wouldn’t be the Super Bowl without snacks—especially some homemade guacamole, chips, and of course, single-serve drink mixes from Blender Boyz. Whip up some smoothies, strawberry daiquiris, and frozen margaritas to get you started, and then check out this guacamole recipe that we got straight from the experts at Rosa Mexicano Restaurants.
Guacamole
Ingredients:
1 Hass avocado
3 tablespoons chopped onions
1 teaspoon chopped jalapeno chilies
1 ½ teaspoon chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons chopped tomato (discard juice & seeds)
In a bowl, using the back of a wooden spoon, thoroughly mash the following ingredients into a juicy paste (using salt as a grinder):
1 tablespoon chopped onions
½ teaspoon chopped jalapeno chilies
½ teaspoon chopped cilantro
½ teaspoon salt
Holding the avocado in the cup of the hand, split the avocado in half lengthwise and remove the seed. Slice the avocado lengthwise in approximately 1/8” strips, then across, forming a grid (cut through the flesh only, not into the skin). Scoop the avocado out of the skin with a spoon.
Add the avocado to the paste and thoroughly mix together, then add the rest of the ingredients and fold. Add jalapeno chilies and salt to taste.
