Hey everyone!

Saturday, February 22nd is National Margarita Day. I know it’s not an official holiday, but it should be!

In honour of National Margarita Day, Blender Boyz is offering up a couple (or three!) Margarita Recipes for you to try out……….oh, and a little food to go with the drinks!

The Simple –
In a blender put:
1 pouch of Blender Boyz margarita mix
1 cup of ice
2 ounces of your favourite tequila – ours is Sauza. (you know, since it’s a holiday)
Blend, and serve with a wedge of lime in a salt rimmed glass – if your blood pressure can handle it.

The High Class –
In a blender put:
1 pouch of Blender Boyz margarita mix
1 cup of ice
2 ounces of Tres Generaciones, El Tesoro or 100 Anos premium tequila.
Blend, and pour into a salted rim glass.
Float half an ounce (give or take) of triple sec or, if you want to go really big, Gran Marnier on top.

If you prefer your margarita shaken not frozen –
In a 16 to 18 ounce glass full of ice add one pouch of Blender Boyz Margarita Mix, 4 to 6 ounces of water and 2 ounces of tequila (see above…holiday spirit!).

Any of these will be a fantastic way to pay homage to a great day, and a great drink.

Now, if you need something to eat with all this celebration try one of our favourite taco recipes from the Homesick Texan. We can’t wait to make Brisket Tacos Dallas style: http://www.homesicktexan.com/2011/01/brisket-tacos-recipe-dallas.html
